AILI Dad’s Creme Brulee

Makes: 5 Servings
Serving size: 1 ramekin, 401 Calories, 38g Fat, 3g Net Carbs, 5g Protein


  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Vanilla Bean Pod (optional)
  • 5 Egg Yolks, Large
  • 1/2 Cup And I Like It™ FirstRate™


  1. Preheat the oven to 325F.
  2. In a medium size bowl beat egg yolks, FirstRate & vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a small saucepan add the heavy cream, scrape the insides of a vanilla pod, and add the whole vanilla bean pod. Cook over low heat until just before boiling.
  4. Remove the vanilla bean pod then very slowly pour some of the heated heavy cream into the egg mixture while whisking , then mix in the remaining heavy cream until combined.
  5. Pour into 5 ramekins. Set ramekins in a 9x13 inch pan & pour hot water in the pan until it comes up to 1/2 the side of the ramekin.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes until the center is slightly jiggly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  8. Chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight.
  9. Tip: Right before serving sprinkle 2 tsp FirstRate on the top of each Creme Brulee and place under broiler or use a torch to caramelize.
