It is cranberry season! Seeing those bags of beautiful cranberries in my kitchen got me thinking about the health benefits of those unique little berries and other ways I could use them. In last week’s newsletter we covered the effects of sugar on the liver. It was mentioned that fueling your body with healthy foods will support liver health and healing! Cranberries will help you do just that!

I remember seeing a cranberry water recipe as I scrolled through social media. I wanted to try to make something similar. The first time I made this recipe I tried it with half of the lime juice it has now. It was ok but adding the extra lime really makes it more refreshing! And of course its made with our very own High Purity Stevia. AILI Cranberry Limeade was born!

Benefits of AILI Cranberry Water
Cranberries are known to benefit our body in multiple different ways and can directly benefit your liver. Cranberries have anthocyanin that prevents oxidation in cells, and cells from dying due to toxic overload. Cranberries contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that can help protect liver cells from damage and reduce inflammation in the liver. Additionally, the high levels of vitamin C and other beneficial nutrients found in cranberries have shown to support liver function and improve overall liver health. Some studies have also suggested that cranberry juice may help prevent the buildup of fat in the liver, which can lead to liver disease. Lastly, cranberries are low in calories and high-in nutrients, making them a great addition to a healthy diet!
I also love our AILI Cranberry Jalapeno Sauce recipe! I make it every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and then spend the next week (or 2) eating it. It is perfect blend of tart, sweet and spicy!
