Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Vanilla Bean Pod, optional
  • 5 Egg Yolks, Large
  • 1/2 Cup And I Like It™ FirstRate™

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 325F.
  • In a medium size bowl beat egg yolks, FirstRate & vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In a small saucepan add the heavy cream, scrape the insides of a vanilla pod, and add the whole vanilla bean pod. Cook over low heat until just before boiling.
  • Remove the vanilla bean pod then very slowly pour some of the heated heavy cream into the egg mixture while whisking , then mix in the remaining heavy cream until combined.
  • Pour into 5 ramekins. Set ramekins in a 9x13 inch pan & pour hot water in the pan until it comes up to 1/2 the side of the ramekin.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes until the center is slightly jiggly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool.
  • Chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight.

Notes

Tip: Right before serving sprinkle 2 tsp FirstRate on the top of each Creme Brulee and place under broiler or use a torch to caramelize.
