AILI Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup AILI FirstRate™
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Water

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan combine butter & AILI FirstRate™. Cook over medium heat & bring to a boil.
  2. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes stirring frequently (be careful not to burn it).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream. Mixture will bubble vigorously.
  4. Sprinkle with xanthan gum and whisk vigorously to combine. Mix in the salt.
  5. Return mixture to heat and boil for 1 more minute.
  6. Let cool to lukewarm and stir in water until well combined.
  7. Store in the fridge.
