I started with my favorite caramel sauce recipe. Then I replaced the sugar with my FirstRate™ and added xanthan gum to improve the texture, shelf life, and consistency.

AILI Caramel Smoothie Recipe
AILI Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup AILI FirstRate™
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 TBSP water
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan combine butter & AILI FirstRate™. Cook over medium heat & bring to a boil.
- Cook for 3 to 5 minutes stirring frequently (be careful not to burn it).
- Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream. Mixture will bubble vigorously.
- Sprinkle with xanthan gum and whisk vigorously to combine. Mix in the salt.
- Return mixture to heat and boil for 1 more minute.
- Let cool to lukewarm and stir in water until well combined.
- Store in the fridge.
